firing pin fell out?
The back slide plate dropped down and the firing pin assembly came out hitting me in the chest. Then of course the slide locked up. This happened as I was rapid firing my sd9ve. Has this ever happen to anyone else?

Have you had the slide apart lately, or did this just happen out of the blue?

That'll teach you not to waste perfectly good ammo on pointless, self-indulgent rapid-fires !

I'm a rank amateur but if this happened to me I would take a good look a the whole striker system, and also the round firing pin blocker that rides a linear cam.

I think I have a weak rebound spring on the firing pin. Just a guess, seems like no one else has had this issue.

Never heard of this with any striker fired gun dating back to the Austrian invasion of the 1980s.
