Default Reflex for SD9VE

I have an SD9VE and I love shooting it, plan on making it my everyday carry.. I would really enjoy having a Reflex sight mounted to the top of my weapon for quicker target acquisition. I have been looking all day trying to find what I need to do, buy, and install in order to make this happen.. Oh, and I would rather not spend $200 on this, the gun was only purchased for like $225 on gunbroker.

Might need to find a gunsmith to machine the slot in the slide, or a machine shop.

Just my opinion, but what I paid for the gun would not matter if I loved the gun. Heck, if I loved a Hi Point, I would have no problem sending to a gunsmith to add a improved sighting system.

If you can afford it, and you want it, go for it. Don't worry what the rest of us might think.

OR.........just get comfortable shooting the pistol, as is. Factory sights are in no way deficient, for an EDC/SD pistol.
Obviously, the OP is free to do as he likes, no dispute there, but IMO, this is yet another manifestation of this bizarre obsession so many gun owners have with dropping more and more money, on tons of largely un-necessary junk just to goober up their guns with.
Buy a decent holster and a pile of ammo, and go get proficient shooting it. it's perfectly capable, right now.

I feel pretty comfortable shooting the gun and doing so accurately.. the factory sights aren't anything special though. I have to take my time to find the perfect sight path at the range as is and I worry that it will be harder to find the sights especially in low light situations. that's my main reasoning for wanting a reflex sight. ive also debated on doing the green night sights. I have those on my Sig and love them.

You might also consider ghost ring sights. I have shot them, and they are fast to pickup.
