Default Is there hope for a 40V

I have a sw40v that will not work. The trigger will not reset when shooting. It was a used gun and I dont know what has been done to it. Would it be possible to obtain a set of factory springs to have a place to start?

I would say the trigger return spring is broken (part #391420000). It's a $3 part from Midway or Brownells.

You should call S&W and request a warranty return label for a broken trigger return spring. Don't volunteer that you are not the original owner. They will fix it for free.
