Default Smith Wesson swd9ve Jam please help

Hello I just recently bought a new smith Wesson sd9ve from a guy brand new that won it from a event. Since I technically bought it used there's no warranty but it keeps jamming about every mag or so. It seems like it's not ejecting after shooting and the next bullet gets lodged and both get stuck. I have used several different brands and kinds of ammo and didn't help any suggestions why anything helps I don't have the money to get it looked at or i would thanks

Jam maybe caused by dirty chamber or limp wristing , S&W honors a lifetime Warranty of whoever owns the firearm. There are plenty videos about maintaining and operating semi autos. Sooch oo , Gunblue490 and Iraqveteran 8888. I would clean and lightly lube the rails and practice my grip

I lubed and oiled it up and has not had more then 200 rounds threw it. I had several of my friends shoot it also and was still not ejecting shells sometimes or something same issue as seen in pictures. I contacted Smith Wesson earlier this week and said since im not the original owner there is no warranty.

Heres my email from smith and wesson

Dear Jordan,

You can register it if you want but that wont give you the warranty registration is a process that helps us with marketing data. The warranty is lifetime to the first owner since you bought it used you would not be covered under our warranty. If you would like us to look at this firearm for the issues you are having with it we would be glad to do so. However, due to the fact that each firearm is evaluated on an individual basis and we do not provide advance quotations as our gunsmiths have to examine each firearm before making their final determinations on cost.

If you would like us to issue you a prepaid label to get your firearm into the factory for evaluation by our gunsmiths or if you have any other questions please feel free to contact us.

I think I'd be looking at the extractor for a chipped or broken off claw or weak spring. If worse comes to worse, I doubt if Smith would charge much to repair it.
Good luck.

Wow, I thought S&W allowed transfer to their lifetime warranty. This is news to me.

The warranty is specific to the first owner, no "transfer" mentioned. However, a lot has to do with how you present yourself. I think most here just call, explain that there is a problem, and get it dealt with.

The complication comes if you make a point to tell them, or if you get a new CS person who happens to ask. I've never been asked, nor told to provide purchase details.

Good luck.
I would also look at the extractor if its chipped in the front, or weak/broken spring. Prior to that though, I would try a different magazine and different ammo. Usually, 99% of the malfunctions on semiautos are magazines / ammo, in my experience. If it were me, I would procceed with a thorough cleaning, with detail attention in the extractor spring cavity (on the slide). just in case crud has been built up in there. Another problem is, I was looking at all the "usual suspects" that sell parts, and try to give you a heads up but all I can find available for this pistol are new magazines!!!!. Apparently, sending it back to the factory might be the only solution in the end. Good luck friend!
