Best place to get APEX trigger/spring kit in Canada
Hey all,
I have an SD9VE and actually love it quite a bit, but I wanted to upgrade the spring kit and trigger to APEX. Does anyone know where the fastest shipping and best deal are for it to be shipped to Canada?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Happy shooting,
-Brendan

MidwayUSA - Shop Shooting, Hunting, & Outdoor Products is always fast.
Apex Tactical themselves ship quickly.
You will have to see if the SD parts you want, and your address in Canada, run into any problem with ITAR restrictions.

Not sure about shipping costs to Canada but you can check with quite a few sources.
ApexTactical, MidwayUSA, Brownells, even EBay.
Merely go to there site and get their estimated shipping times and fee.
Hopefully none would be outrageous.

Apex themselves and midway USA don't ship to Canada unfortunately. Brownells wouldnt give me a straight answer on shipping times or prices. There is a Canadian site, but for both the trigger and the spring kit it's over 100 dollars which I suppose isn't bad for CND.

The Apex SD Action Enhancement Kit for the SD9/40 is 54.95 USD from Apex Tactical, plus about 8.50 USD for shipping, which is 63.45 USD -- or about 82.10 CND. So 100 CDN isn't really too bad for Brownell to sell you the same kit, considering they have to do extra paperwork for international mail.
Lots of folks on this Forum say the Apex trigger is a good addition to the SD9/40. (See other threads for discussion of whether the lighter striker spring included in the kit is a good idea -- I personally wouldn't lighten a striker spring on a self-defense gun).

Thanks for the replies. I will just bite the bullet and pay the 100 or so.
I am weary of changing the striker spring as well, because just yesterday I had an FTF with everything still stock. It was with some cheap 115 grain UMC ammo, and it looked like the firing pin hit the primer with a solid impact, but I don't want to risk any more FTF's at the expense of a trigger pull.
I will do some more reading in the other threads in regards to the striker pin and the questions I have regarding it.
Happy shooting,
Brendan

I bought the Apex trigger & spring kit for my SD9VE off ebay for about $45 and had it shipped to my home in Canada via USPS. Arrived at my door in about a week.
