Default SD9VE or older SW9VE?

$269.00 for a new SD9VE....or $150 for a used SW9VE in excellent condition.

I went with the older SW9VE model.

Why? I hate dealing with roll pins and the new SD model has one that holds the extractor. I like to be able to COMPLETELY disassemble every single part of my firearms, and it seemed easier to do with those older models. Now, I know there was a lot of talk about the trigger pulls on the SW series, but I'm not doing any World Cup Championship shooting...in a self defense situation, no one will even notice a 100-lb trigger pull anyhow...

So I'll use the extra $120 for some ammo an spare mags.

I've owned a SW9VE for 10 years or so. It's a great pistol. I have no problem with the trigger. Congrats on the find. You'll enjoy it.

Nice price. Check it out, clean and replace any worn springs.
And there is always Apex kits if you want it.

About a month ago I purchased a Mint SW9VE with a dark green frame.
Sold the SD9VE.

Some of the late production SW9VEs have the ends of the action pins swaged by the factory to discourage taking them out and removing the sear assembly. And new trigger/sear parts cannot be gotten from S&W.
I have used them for 20 years and still have 2 for loaners/trainers.
