guide rod/recoil spring assembly
Does anyone know if S&W will send me the guide rod & recoil spring for my SD9VE? Mine broke at the range. They've already closed for the holiday, so I can't ask them until January 2. Thanks!
(If you want to know: I bought it used 14 months ago at a gun show. Put at least 10,000 rounds through since then, don't know what the previous owner did. It does have an Apex spring kit installed, still has stock trigger.)

I don't see why not. They sent me a new recoil spring assembly for my Shield 45 when it broke. Didn't charge me for it either. But it was pretty new.

The SD9VE is covered under S&W's Lifetime Warranty, so if you contact them and explain the situation, they should send you a replacement recoil spring/guide rod in the mail immediately.

I called in ~ 2 years ago and they sent one out via the mail within a couple of days, I was trying to buy it but they sent it "no charge".

All I did was email S&W inquiring how to get a replacement recoil assembly and they sent me one free of charge.
