Question SD9 Picatinny rail alignment issue.

I bought two Amazon red dot lasers for my SD9. Both of them have the same issue. They both are aimed too low to be adjusted out. I returned the 20$ cheap one and only have the Firefly v2 green dot sight remaining. I tried this sight on my brother M&P 2.0 with the exact same problem.

It's not the gun. It not the sight. I'm missing something here....

Anyone have an idea?

I talked to the maker of the firefly @ tacticon. He told me to alternate my windage and elevation adjustments. I thought it was silly but tried it and it was effective in getting the green dot crosshairs sighted.

I wasn't happy with that methodology so I broke the add on down and found that the adjustment screws sit near the midbody of the laser generator tube. On the opposite side was a tension spring pushing against the adjustment.

I think they'd get better and more consistent adjustments locating the set screws farther back away from the midpoint fulcrum. That's not the design though.

I'm just putting this here for future reference by another member.

Thanks.
