I never noticed until recently that my Sigma 40VE Hi-Cap mags (2) rattle.I changed the mag springs 2 weeks ago. Is this the result of not getting that notch in the metal strip that rests on the floor plate on the base of the spring or is it normal. They function fine...just wondering.

Pretty common issue with all S&W mags. Take one round out and the rattle should stop especially if it's a hi-cap mag.

I found hitting the base of the mag on the palm of my hand stops this. Dad calls it settling the Mag.
