Default Will a SW9/Sigma9 barrel fit and function in an SD9VE?

There's a guy selling these SW9 replacement barrels on Gunbroker for a reasonable price.
He says they work fine in the SD series.

Is this true in anybody's experience?

PS.........go over to Gunbroker and type in "robertsontradingpost SW9 barrel".

This guy did some great work explaining things. And he's posted some excellent photos of the SW9 barrel in the SD.

My own interest in this is that the SW9 barrel seems to be a tighter fit in the SD slide than the standard SD barrel.
IF it cycles reliably it could be very accurate.
Interesting stuff from this guy.

If it were me wanting to buy them I would call S&W and ask them.

Default

Got the SW9 barrel the other day along with the SD9 9mm mags and went to the range after putting them in my SD40.
I originally asked the question for the thread title regarding the SW9 barrel fitting in the SD9 thinking that was a more likely scenario to get information.
My thought was that it would probably work in the SD40 too.

Fired 50 Remington 115 grain fmj followed by 50 rounds of Federal 115 grain jhp +p.

Worked great without any hitches at all.
Barrel dropped right into the SD40.
The SD9 mags are a little thinner than the SD40 mags and will drop out if you don't modify them.
I placed a little grip tape on the mags by the mag release notch and they worked great.
Hope somebody finds this caliber conversion info useful.
