Default SW380 and SW9m warranty?

Is there any warranty on these models? A LEO acquaintance had the slide break on his 9m. A chunk of the slide broke off at the muzzle end. Thank you.

I have returned two SW9M pistols in the past. S&W gave me a SW9VE Sigma the first time - hardly a pocket pistol. The second time they offered me a SD9VE - again, not a pocket pistol. I gave them a few dollars more and they sent me a Shield 9mm. They might offer him a Bodyguard 380 these days.

Call Smith and ask. It's doubtful they'll be able to do anything on the SW99, long out of production.

Default warrenty

I think the lifetime warranty apply to these pistols, If repair and parts are not available other alternatives come into play (replacement with different model of firearm) I wouldn't mention law enforcement because that's a different can of worms.

I did not inquire about the SW99.

A phone call to the factory got my friend a return label. He was told the firearm would be evaluated for the possibility of repair or other options. This may turn out really well for him if it gets replaced.
