Default model 41 problem

I have had this gun for over a year and it has been perfect till last week.
I started to get fail to fires so I took off the grips and gave it a thorugh cleaning. I removed the firing pin and spring and the firing pin block soaked the whole gun and then blew it out and lubed it. Went back to the range and still have a problem the shell does not have a firing pin mark on it when it does not fire ok can't fire then , but why is it not going into battery? When it does not fire I rack the slide the next shot fires then nothing it has me stumped any ideas any one?
