Default FBI 1076 value

Can someone give me a range of values for a FBI 1076.Gun was purchased from S&W when they were returned in the 1990`s. Comes in the PC blue plastic box with a few spare mags. All I know right now, original owner wants me to make an offer.

The 10mm is still hot and a FBI gun could demand a slight premium. Depending on condition these still routinely bring in $600-$800 on auction sites

I have been watching auction sites, seems guns that sell are between 550.00 & 650.00. I have a feeling he is going to ask 750.00.Would it be worth that?

Dave, if it letters as an FBI shipped 1076 $750.00 is certainly a fair price. Personally, I'd pay $800 all day long for one in nice shape so if you buy it and change your mind about keeping it, send me a note and I'll buy it from you sight unseen..

A 99% certain FBI 1076 sold on gunbroker last week for $780. It was in good shape, maybe 92%, and had a low serial number of TEU0048. It got a lot of bidding attention. There are a couple on gunbroker right now that are likely non-fbi 1076's as well if you want a comparison. It all dpends on if the guy knows about the whole FBI thing or not. If not then 500 to 600 may be all he is expecting.

The most important factor here is not necessarily the pistol. It is the box! If it is an FBI pistol and is numbered to the box and the box is verified as being a Performance Center box it could be only the third PC FBI 1076 3rd Issue identified to date. The last known offer for a PC FBI 1076 was $3,000 which was not accepted. I would want to take a really good look at the box. Good luck!

My 1076 SN is TFX6280 .It is marked ...

CAUTION - CAPABLE OF FIRING
WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED.

i PURCHASED IT IN THE MID 1990'S It was my intention to carry it, but decided to go w/1911.

I have the origional S&W cardboard box and 4 magazines. I am updating insurance records and have been told that my 1076 is worth more then I currently have it insured for.

It is as new. I fired it to sight in w/several brands of amo, but never carried it,

Any help would be appreciated.

It is most likely a law enforcement 1076. It may be an FBI 1076 as my records my records show a close serial number TFX6515 as being assigned to the Chicago Field Office. What appears on the end flaps?

Default FBI 1076

A 1076 documented as issued to FBI should bring a minimum of $950. Anything less is a bargain. Box would add at least a couple of hundred.
