FOLKS I HAVE A MESSAGE INTO mr beckwith.
how rare is a MODEL 46 WITH 2 SHORT SLIDES.
i read some where where ther were 5000 made, but a much smaller number of the short slides were made. this new search function is hard for me to find any info on the model 46.
so any advice on the short slides for a model 46 is greatly appreciated
thanks folks
I can not provide any information on the 'short slide' model 46. I acquired a model 46 with the seven inch barrel, a somewhat standard length I believe for the model. As you are probably aware, they were made primarily for the military as a cheaper version of the model 41 and were used as an inexpensive practice weapon for Air Force and other troops. Yes, their production numbers were low and 5000 could be correct.
Again, I am not familiar with a short slide model, but I am sure other members can help you with this.
