Default M52-2 Is this normal?

My slide won't stay open unless I push the slide release up with my thumb. Does that with both mags I have. One mag was brand new this morning. So, I need to count the rounds when I shoot. Slide release was inspected and seemed normal to me.

Also, I noticed that the whole rear sight was a tiny bit off. I see there is an hex key, but it's really small. I am afraid to strip it. Am I over worrying?

The newer style plastic follower magazines do not function as well as the all metal mags. The rear sight is adjusted with a proper screw driver blade, both windage and elevation. The small set screw hole I believe is only for locking the entire sight assembly in place. They usually do not move easily from side to side.

Tks for the feedback. Yes, I want to move the whole rear sight unit.
