Default need value of a BNIB 422

I'm looking at a brand new 422 and need to find out a reasonable price for it. It's 6", blued with the black plastic grips. It is absolutely brand new, never fired. It's in the box with the bottle of oil, tools, etc. Thanks!

Well new they sold for around $200, you see them selling on Gunbroker in the $250-350 range. As for a collector anything goes it seems. I don't recall S&W ever adding oil with a new gun.

this has a bottle of Rem-oil, a box of cartridges and tools, all in a box with a foam cut-out for everything. According to the SCSW some of the early ones came set up this way.

I saw a used 422 with wood grips & in good condition priced at $280 at a gun show in November. It had no accessories with it.

I won a 422 off of GB, unfired in the box with the oil, ammo, cleaning kit setup for $320. I went to $320 as it was no tax and local to me.

Target version with wood grips and adjustable rear site.
