Default Picked up a CS40

Welp...that CS40 I laid away has been received
Only one mag, came with a Bulldog holster that holds a spare...
the mag that came with it is a standard 7-rd CS40 mag
with a white follower.

First three of the Serial are EKZ, so whatever that means...

The metal looks almost brand new, unsullied by idiot marks!
The grips have some moderate wear,
but given that they are Hogues, all the better

Very odd single action trigger, but that may be because
nothing's loaded...goes to DA for restrikes,
lighter DA trigger than expected

I'll do pics whenever I get back home...

Way to go! Going 10MM with that thing? I have one with an extra barrel and was thinking about it. But as many have mentioned the shorter barrel in 10MM might not make sense. Some of the hotter .40 S & W seem pretty potent but the then again we have the shorter barrel, never seem to catch up. Have fun with that puppy!

Great guns, those 3rd Gen CS models! I have been considering going back to my CS-45 for more regular concealed carrying. We'll see!

Enjoy it!

As my screen name would imply, I luv my CS45 and I think you will luv your cs40 too!

Personally, I would leave that as a 40 S&W for a number of reasons (i.e. stout recoil or possible damage to the frame and/or rail). The 10mm is pretty potent. I have a G29 and its a handful. Actually am not sure how the 10mm case would fit in that mag well of the cs40 - usually its the other way around. With my G29 I swap barrels and shoot 10mm, 40 and 357 with the same mags.

good luck

My EDC's are a S&W CS45 & a Star M45...
a Potent combo that share magazines

I'm hoping the same is true for the CS40 & Star M40 & M205 in .40-S&W

Star had a habit of utilizing S&W mags from their magazine producer...
so interchangability is quite possible, will find out tomorrow,
as I'm not home where I can run such tests tonight

Recently a conversation was had about .460 Rowland & alloy .45's,
which leads me to believe that it may be best to leave things as S&W Chief's were
built, although I watch the ongoing 10mm conversions with much interest!
