Magazine release on 910 and 915
Can anyone tell me if the 910 and 915 have plastic magazine release buttons. I'm looking at a few online and don't want another Smith with a plastic magazine release.
Thanks.

I believe the 915 is the standard steel one just like a 5904 where they went to the plastic ones on the 910.

can anyone say whether a metal release is available that would fit in place of the plastic in a 910?

There was a discussion on the 908 and they said the frame is machined different. S&W does list different part numbers for the catch, nut, plunger and spring between the 410/411, 910/915 and 908/3913.

915 = steel, sights, mag release, guide rod.
910 = plastic, sights, mag release, guide rod.

a bump to the top with another que - the 915 mag release would swap into the 910? I have one I replaced all plastic parts with metal except the release (the sights I updated to light tubes)

My 910 has a plastic mag release.
My 915 is metal.
It APPEARS that they are the same. I would ask Fastbolt or KurtC, just to be sure they are interchangeable. Regards 18DAI.
