Default Problem with S&W model 422

I took my 422 out to the range a couple weeks ago. And it started to act up on me. The rounds would cycle, but fail to fire when I pulled the trigger. It was not jammed,I would pull the slide back about a quarter inch and release it and the then pull the trigger and it would fire. It was right towards the end of our shooting. So I cleaned it and did not see anything out of the ordinary. So I was wondering ammo maybe. I dont know but nothing worse that a unreliable pistol. Has anybody had problems with a 422 or 622 for that matter like this. I'm getting ready to call Smith and see what they say.

Did it feel like the trigger was not resetting? If this was the case, take off the left side grip panel and check the side plate screws. If they are loose it can cause this problem.

Also check the that barrel nut is tight. Mine shot loose and all kinds of problems popped up. Easy fix if that is your problem.
