Default 5906 Target Champion vs Super 9

I shoot both my 952 and M&P9Pro but am looking for an accurate tactical firearm for PPC matches. I am considering the STI Targetmaster but am intrigued by the Super 9 or 5906 Target Champion. Has anyone tested either of these two side by side for accuracy?

I don't know about the 5906 Target Champion.
I have owned a Super 9, a 4" DPA 5906 & a 5" PPC.
I still have the PPC.
I am not a bullseye shooter or even a very good shot but the PPC almost makes it look like I could be.

The Super 9 I had was OK, but it was nothing special in the accuracy department. The longer sight radius helps a bit, but that was about it. I have a stock 5906 that I can shoot better than I did with the Super 9.

Hopefully someone who has actually shot the Target Champion can lend their experiences. If it is like the PPC it might be the ticket.

We have guys here who shoot PPC or Bullseye with PPC9s, and they know lots more than I do. These guys are serious, shoot teensy groups, and should be here.

But as I understand, the PPC9 is about the same pistol as the Target Champion.

FWIW, I bought a 5" PPC9 exactly because of its' accuracy; they ship with a factory test target of under an inch at 25 yards. Mine did that with the Federal 9BP load, which is regular off the shelf ammo. This pistol fits in a standard Safariland paddle holster and uses factory 5906 mags (thick bumper pad), which is what I use when running our qual courses with it. I don't know anything about PPC matches or the equipment they use.

If S&W put a PC logo on it, and it has a Briley bushing, you can bet it is a tackdriver, they have only gotten better since the 845.

The PPC is the same as the Target Champion - one is for sale to LE in the U.S. (the PPC) and the TC is destined for Germany via a European importer...I highly recommend the PPC - not only is it hand fit and the action is painstakingly honed, but as tight as the lockup is, it's smooth as silk and mine has never had a FTF. It's my favorite among others of mine (1911's) costing twice as much.

Aristocrat sight?

TC have LPA sights and Houge rubber grips or Nill wood grips.
