Smile need model 41 cocking indicator

picked up a minty 41 but it is missing the cocking indicator and spring. Could someone find me one or point me in the right direction?

Check Numrich. They list an "Indicator" for $18.20 just below the Hammer w/ Cocking Indicator Notch, so I'm guessing that's it.

I've read other posts that said the Cocking Indicator and Magazine Disconnect were removed by some bullseye shooters to further reduce any drag on the trigger / hammer mechanism. That may be why yours is missing and you might want to see if the hammer will drop without a magazine in the gun (with the gun unloaded of course) to see if the disconnect is missing too. If it is, you may not wish to replace it but at least you would know.

thanks, I never thought of that. THe parts are on order, hope they have them....that is why I love this forum.....how do I go about replacing the parts? I need a little assistance, whats the first step in getting the hammer out?
