This is video proof that it isn't the shooter's "limp wrist", it is poor pistol design that is responsible for many failures to function.

I have two Glock 26 pistols. One functions perfectly with all ammo when fired weak hand unsupported and loosly held at a 90 degree angle to the left. The other requires higher velocity ammo to perform that well.

My Kimber functions perfectly limp wristed, and my two Smith model 39s are totally reliable with all ammo when fired limp.

In the real world, one does not get to say, "Excuse me, mr. bad person, while I assume a proper shooting stance...and make sure I have a strong grip on my gun."

My Glocks will malfunction if I bend the angle of my wrist while firing. I noticed the problem when shooting over the top of barriers at semi-buried targets at IPSC matches. I don't think of it as a problem for myself as I easily prevent it by keeping my wrist straight. It was however one of the factors I considered in choosing a house guns ( 2" and 4" Model 64s in DAO ) that my wife might need to also use. It doesn't hurt that K frame revolvers are my first love.

Be interesting to know whether the striker fired pistols have more of a problem than the guns with a hammer.

I would say that it's just more likely to appear in lighter/polymer pistols than in the heavier guns.

It's pretty much physics- if you try hard enough you can "limp wrist" anything. Hell I did it with my A-5 to prove a point-so I guess it's a poor design If you use something in the way intended-it's gonna work.

That's a good video and it shows something important that gun magazines doing comparison tests of guns should take note of: We have accuracy tests, why not a standardized "limp wrist" functioning test?

This is just my personal theory, but showing a particular brand of pistol not functioning well compared to others, might cause that pistol's advertising to be pulled from a mainstream gun publication. It's a revenue thing, in other words.

Shooting a pistol while holding it sideways... likely this will appeal to those aficionados of the gansta school... in contrast to Chapman, Gunsite, etc.

Hi:
I am thinking like Handgunner 356 that the pistols with lightweight frames are more prone to "Limpwrist" malfunctions than metal frame pistols.
