Default 952 dimensions

I've read hundreds of threads here the last few days, (search didn't recognize "952", probably operator error), and can't find this info: grip width and length for the 952. They're impossible to find in stores, and I'm a tad reluctant to buy without determining if it's a good "hand fit" for me (example: Gov't Model/SIG 220/BHP fit fine, anything larger does not). I'm certainly not expecting anyone to break out the dial calipers, but opinions are most appreciated.

I am away from home so cannot furnish exact dimensions. I shoot my 952 a number of 1911;s and at one time a Sig 220 Sport. The grip on the 952 is as slim as a 1911 but a bit wider front to back. If my memory serves me correct it is aproximately as wide front to back as the Sig 220 grip but somewhat slimmer and of slightly different configuration.

The grip width at the fattest part is 1.47". From the tang to the bottom of the grip is 3.45" Grip front to rear at the fattest point about 1" above the magwell is 2.2" It is very similar in dimension and feel to a 5906 as my wife got her 952 because it fit her like my 5906.

Dave

ETA That gun fits me great as well as my wife (she lets me shoot it every once in a while) We cover a pretty significant range of hand size...

Most excellent! Thanks for the replies, and it's off to find a 39/439 for "grip check".

I don't mean to hijack this thread but does the 52 grips fit the 952?
