Default My 5903

I took a couple pics of my Franken-5903 today and decided to post them. A few years ago a buddy of mine bought an Atlanta Police marked 5903 just to take off the slide/barrel for his 5906 (which had adjustable sights - he wanted Novak or maybe both). I bought his frame, picked up a used complete 5904 slide/barrel, replaced most of the springs with a S&W oem pack, put on a new flat backstrap delrin grip, blacked out the rear sight dots and picked up some MecGar 17 round magazines. I have fired about 500 rounds through it without a hiccup. I think Smith & Wesson should have made more two-tone models, I really like the way they look.

My 439 is a blued slide and anodized clear alloy frame. Looks great.

Thumbs up

Looks nice!

I agree: I wish S&W had offered more two tone models; I've always liked the way they look.

My 5903 has a hammer on it; I didn't see one on yours or am I missing something? Regardless a nice looking gun. I also agree with the two tone, I like two tone pistols. 3 of my five semis are two tone.

Atlanta PD must have ordered them with bobbed hammers, as I have seen a half dozen or so "Atlanta Police" 5903's and I have never seen one with a spur hammer.
