can a 645 be converted to a 10mm by simply switching barrels, recoil springs and magazine?

No, the bolt face of a .45ACP would be too big for a 10mm. The extractor and ejector wouldn't work.

i know a Glock 21 can be converted to 10mm without the same bolt face worries.....figued it might work with the S&W too.
