Thumbs up

That milled integral rail is SO much better than the ones that were attached with fasteners. That's a beauty; congratulations on your score!

I see that it has the CHP cut in the front strap . That ,or in a .40 then I am through. I have yet to see one of those in the wild. Truly a great find and I am happy for you.

Disturbing - sorry to read of the loss.

You may have to keep this one hidden away.

I'm so curious about that pistol. I can't find it in the bible, but of course that doesn't mean anything. I have never seen one with the integral rail. My 5906TSW has the tacky tacked on black rail, which bothers me even more now that I've seen this one. Would you know the product code on that beauty?

I originally sold boingboing his first one and at the time I was all jones-ed up for a Melonite,
integrally-railed 5946 which I found at about the same time.

When I called Smith and Wesson about production numbers they indicated that while they
couldn't give out exact #s there were less than 100 integrally-railed 5906TSWs at least by the product code given.

In case you were curious - production #s on the Melonite, integrally-railed 5946 was in the single digits.

Glad boingboing found another one.

Hey boingboing, I'm even more impressed with your acquisition now that I find out how rare it is. Now I see why you didn't name the thread "Score!", you named it SCORE!!!!!!!

There were 1 at my LGS about a year ago. I believe I helped someone from Oregon buy it.. I just let folks know where it was. They were asking $695 for it. I just didn't need it. Very nice gun though. You will be pleased with the integral rail.

This time, make sure you have the model/serial number written down in a book,
along with every other gun model & serial you own...
and keep it in another room away from where you keep the gun/guns...

That way if stolen, you have a listing for it to give the BATF & LLEO's...
buddy of mine had a pistol stolen a few years ago, but didn't have the serial,
I looked at his pic album and noted that the serial was in his pics...
so he followed up with the officer who took the original report...
now its listed with the appropriate agencies, and he's looking for his pistol online as well

Never give up hope, anything can happen in this crazy world!!
