I bought a 1974 52-2 with box, papers, tools, etc with 5 mags, red dot, aimtech
grip adapter for the dot, and a weight. Probably 97%. I think the $1250 I paid was a good price - the -2 being the better choice for a shooter IMHO.
I then went accessory shopping. Herret's National Adjustable Tergets with a chip for $40. Spare OEM grips for $20.
Found a box with 7 OEM weights and sold 6. The lowest sold for 205. I listed them here with little interest so they went to auction. The highest went for $245.
The box came with 2 more 52 mags and a couple for a 39.
I think the -2 is the practical choice for a shooter in BE Comp. The -1 and 52 seem to be sought to have the "set". A mint gun might be worth a little more to a collector so leave it mint. There are plenty of -2's for shooting.
Go for $1100 and sit. Patience is a virtue in this game (in my limited experience) that I have yet to master.
This was all purchased within the last 6 months in NH.
Hope it helps.
