Mag Question, Please help a Noob out.
I'll be picking up my 3913 LS this Friday. It comes with two mags, however the guy I bought it from said one of them doesn't feed well. I always like to have extra magazines, so would you more experienced 3913 owners please recommend a source for magazines?
I searched the forum, but couldn't find anything specific. Thanks for your help.

I tend to pick up my S&W mags from Brownells or Midway USA, presuming you are looking for new. I have also purchased mag parts from Brownells to rebuild old mags. I also see them from time to time in the classified on this forum. You may also want to post a Wanted To Buy request as well.

Thanks. I found mags at Brownells, but they are $41.99. Is that pretty much the going rate or have you found somewhere a bit cheaper?
I figured I'd change out the follower in the non functioning mag as well.

I usually get mine from CDNN, they are out of 3913. Midway has 8 round for $30 and change. They also show ProMag, IMO no to promag unless you want something strictly for the range.

I forgot to mention that LEO's and FFL's get a discount from Brownells (maybe military too). 3913 mags are $32.80 with the discount, but they are out of stock.

I appreciate your input gentlemen and thank you. I'm a vet, but not an LEO, just an ordinary citizen.
I have two mags in my shopping cart at Midway. I'll punch the buy button after payday on Friday.

Funny - I have a similar problem with one of my 3913 mags. It feeds 115 FMJ and Federal Champion JHP 147g well but has a problem with Remington Golden Sabre JHP 147g. The Remington JHP's get stuck in the mag at about the 3rd hole position. Turns out this particular mag appears to be little smaller along the cartridge length direction and the Golder Sabre's are just too long for it.
Like others have pointed out Midway does have the best prices on new 3913 mags. They also have both type of baseplates if you prefer one over the other.

I prefer the flat baseplate. I like the idea of keeping the pistol as compact and de-horned as possible.
