3913 and Crimson Trace
I received:
"Dear Sir or Madame
Thank you for your inquiry.

We do record "Future Model Requests" and submit our findings to our design team quarterly for review. You can bookmark our website Crimson Trace | Laser Sight Grips for Guns and check in periodically for updates on our latest product releases. If you would like to have a copy of our latest product catalog sent to you with a copy of our "5 Things Every Handgun Owner Should Know" report, please use our Brochure Request Form found here: Get A Crimson Trace Laser Sight Catalog | Crimson Trace Laser Grips
If we can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to let us know!
Best regards,

If you are interested in a laser sight by Crimson Tace for your 3913, it would not hurt to email them with that request.

That's at least 2 of us who have asked for CT for the 3913.
I called customer service last week to see how many orders they would have to have in order to produce a new model and was told they would have to sell something on the order of 800-900 sets to make it worthwhile. That's more than I want to write a check for, but considering the love shown for that model on this forum not unreasonable.
I even asked about the possibility of modifying the 5900 grips to fit a 6900 and was told that the master switch would have to be removed and the battery wells would probably have to be moved up. Almost like they have deliberately designed it so one could not do a Big Dog type modification.
Seems like if they were smart they would make the 5900 easily modifiable to the 6900 and a 3900 model that could be adapted to the CS9/40/45 and double their applications using the same moulds.
CT is a class company to deal with, but their marketing makes no sense.

I can see their reason behind their current marketing products. The 3rd Gen grips they offer now fit a lot more models than the grips for the 3913. As far as I know, the 3913 grips are only interchangeable with the 3913TSW, 3914, and 908. The 5906 grips are interchangeable with: 5906TSW, 5904, 5903, 5903TSW, 5946, 5943, 4006, 4006TSW, 4003, 4003TSW, 4046, 410, 410S, 411, 910, 910S, 915. Making grips to fit 18 models, as opposed to 4 makes a lot of sense. What I don't understand is why they haven't made a set for the full-size 45's and 10mm's, as they are based on the same frame similar to how the full-size 9mm's and 40's. This would give them a market of: 4505, 4506, 4546, 4566, 4566TSW, 4563, 4563TSW, 4567, 4586, 1006, 1046, 1066, 1086. Plus the 4563TSW and 4566TSW, are still in production for Law Enforcement.
*I know I probably missed a few interchangeable models.

You raise a good point. Bottom line is what model/frame size is popular enough (if any) to generate 800-900 CT sales?
My guess is that the CS9, closely followed by the 3900 series, gets the fancy duds more often than others, but I have no scientific basis for that theory. Anyone have a more informed guess?

In the hay-day of the 3913/3914 I think you could have marketed 800-900 grips, but in the era of the plastic fantastic I'm not sure. I detest lasers and laser grips (not a flame, just an opinion), but will gladly help out by requesting they make a CT grip for the 3953. Maybe my wife will like it.

I have got that chain letter from them a few times for different guns. I started asking them to make one for the 3913 about 5 years ago.
Post#6 I mentioned the request thing a few months back, and not many seemed interested.

I have asked many a time for CT to make grips for all the 3rd Gen. Autos. There are still being used by many LE Departments. I use to send a request at least twice a month. Have hit them up again.

Follow the link:

Place your request. I already did. They do pay attention--I've gotten my wish a couple of times already, and I do NOT have "normal" tastes in pistols.
While you're at it, make sure to request the CS9.

3913 Laser
I believe the Laserlyte laser RL-19n for Novak sights fits the 3913. 3913s have Novak sights, I wondered if they would fit, & emailed the company. I received an email from Laserlyte that this laser should fit the 3913. It replaces the rear sight. Haven't tried it yet.
I do love my 3913NL.
