Guide Rods 6906/5903

I have read on this forum that the slide from a 6906 can be used on a 5903 to create an "SSV". Does this also mean that the recoil spring guide rods are interchangeable? I can get a Lasermax Guide Rod laser for a 5903, but they do not list whether or not it will work on the 6906.

No, the 5900 rod will be a 1/2" longer.
