I can plead a perfectly reasonable excuse.
I've never considered myself a 'collector'.
I just have a number of "working .45's" at hand from which to select.
Even my Colt WWII Pacific Theater of Operations Commemorative .45 pistol has seen some time on the firing line. I look at it as another 'working gun' ... albeit a bit fancy, perhaps, and a leather holster dulls the shine of the highly polished nickel finish, a bit. (You probably don't want to know about the throat job so it handled a variety of JHP's.

That 3" gun is a pretty tempting model, though. Getting such diminutive 1911's to run well is a fair trick, and I'm guessing S&W has taken their time on this one to get it right.
