Anyone know the part # for the recoil spring for the PC 4006 limited. I have about 4000 rounds through my gun and decided to change out the spring. I ordered one from S&W, but the spring that showed up is 2 inches longer than the one in the gun. I called S&W and had the cust service rep talk to the Smith that built my gun, but it seems that they did not keep great records on the small runs of PC guns. I guess if I cant find a part # I will measure length and "K" factor of the spring and replace it that way.

call Wolff, give him the gun specifics...and I bet he can make you some custom springs.

I am assuming your piece is a 5" 40 cal?

if Wolff is going to make recoil springs....might want to make sure it works then order plenty for the life of the gun. avg change around 3K

also....you might want to contact Grinder

he may have the parts list for you model and then the correct spring can be ordered.
