I just got back from the NRA 2010 Annual Meeting in Charlotte, NC. I'm not much of a reporter as I didn't even take photos of the most interesting S&W auto I saw there. Oh well...maybe they'll hurry up and post it themselves. The most interesting auto IMHO, was the VTAC M&P. They come in 9mm and .40 S&W. They have VTAC sights which are much like 10-8 sights except they are tritium and fiber optic combined. They aren't real big like some other brands that do this. The VTAC has a better trigger than the ordinary M&P and is finished in a desert tan color, this is both the frame and slide. I met Kyle Lamb of Viking Tactics and his lovely wife also. Kyle seemed especially proud of his influence on the VTAC M&P. He should be because I think it is a winner.
On to what I did take photos of:
The semi-auto line-up hasn't changed too much. I did examine the new Bodyguard .380. Let's just say that I'll wait and see on that one.
Getting away from autos for a second, I looked at the plastic Bodyguard .38 revolver also. I'll go ahead and say emphatically, I don't like it at all. Let Ruger make plastic wheelies. S&W needs to stick to steel or at least alloys when it comes to revolvers.
