Default 4506 vs 4506-1 differences ?

There are several easy to spot cosmetic changes but I was
wondering if there were any significant enhancements
to strength in any areas in the later model ?

I heard rumors that they learned some things from having
to fix some problems with the more powerful 10mm loads
in the 1006 that they transferred over to the 4506-1

See the attached photos highlighting the trigger-guard,
lower front frame machining and grip differences

I can't recall the 4506-1 but here's a shot of my 20 year old 4506.

I don't believe there were any structural enhancements beyond the trigger guard and some magazine change. I seem to remember the follower was changed slightly. I have the -1 and a close friend of mine has the -0 model. I would be surprised of a durability enhancement since I believe it was overbuilt from the get-go to handle the higher pressure 10mm round. The 1006/4506 series is built like a tank.

When SW first built the 4506 no one at SW ever even thought
about building 10mm pistols. It just turned out that they
took the 4506 and converted it to 10mm. It was only
after the 10mm was out for a while that they began producing
the 4506-1. Supposedly the -1 weighs 2 ounces more than
the regular 4506. That would make sense just from the extra
metal on the frame that they stopped machining off in
front of the trigger.
