Default Model 457 value

The title pretty much states my question. After months and months of no gun money, I am finally in the market for a 457.

What is a reasonable price for one used in good condition?

Same question for one LNIB?

Prices that other forum members have recently paid?

Thanks in advance for your input.

If you go back a couple of weeks there is a thread on a 457. I got one several months ago for 400 and another a couple of weeks later for 450.

You see them sell online for $350-450. Really depends on condition, accessories and geographic popularity.

I gave $583.00 shipped from Buds a month ago. High, I know, but they are getting hard to come by.

Smith & Wesson 457S .45acp 3?" Compact Stainless for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $583.00

I have a thread titled "New to me........457". In it I mention the price and the accuracy of the 457. I paid $450 for mine (deep South Texas) it is blue and black. It is an excellent weapon.

It has replaced my Glock 26......yeah I know.
They (457's) love 185 grn Silver Tips and 185 grn Semi wad cutters (lead). I am a reloader so fine tuning what this pistol likes is a priority.

What is not to like in this model 457 from Smith........

1. Its thin.
2. It decocks.
3. It has a manual safety.
4. It has a magazine disconnect....nice feature to have after shooting glocks for a VERY LONG time.
5. Its a .45..........
6. Its light in weight.
7. Its a Smith and Wesson......AMERICAN MADE.
8. Its sights just line up naturally with the eye.

Enjoy it when you get it. Oh yeah, blued or stainless you will like either one.......I promise.

Default 457S

I have a 457 Stainless for sale with very very minimal use. I bought it new, and have the box and 3 mags. It appears to be in perfect condition. It's a little too small for my hands. I live in southwest VA and will be traveling to NW NC in the next few weeks. [email protected] Thanks
