S&W 469
I've seen one locally for trade. Don't know much about them. Can someone educate me? Also what would be a good price? Add says its 90% and only has 1 mag.

Well, it should look like this one. Magazine capacity is 12 rounds, DA/SA, the hammer has a half cock notch, stainless steel mags for the S&W #6906 interchange, holsters are difficult to find as the model has been discontinued since around 1988. SCSW lists the values as ANIB-$500.00; EXC-$400.00; VG-$335.00; GOOD-$285.00.
That said, I have the one in the photo below listed for sale on a few different sites, at a reasonable price, along with three spare mags and a belt holster, and have gotten lots of interest but low ball offers. I would not overpay for one.

I know where a few sets of Uncle Mike's stocks are for sale if you buy that #469.

I got one last fall, paid $300 in the box. I see them now in the $280-350 range. I have a High Noon IWB which works well. The 469 is slightly smaller than the later 69xx series, but same mags work as said above.
Good gun, no problems, and relatively inexpensive for the value. You can also find the stainless 669's at about the same price now, don't know why, you would think there would be some difference.

Here is a link to a S&W Forum thread on the 469 back in February 2010.
I have posted pics of my two 469's as well as other members of the

Jump on it! I bought mine 28 years ago and it is still going strong. It has had 0 malfunctions. I use a Bianchi 19 or a Ranger #1 and a Fobus HK-1 if you like polymer. There are a few holsters that will fit it on the market (ebay). I had a Safariland paddle that I just sold that was perfect for the 469.
Great gun; you're hard pressed to find such a quality/price combination in guns today. Good Luck to you.

the first semi I was ever issued was a 669. I still have it . It has always had a crunchy trigger, but it fires unfailingly. The sights are a bit small for me now, but didnt bother me way back in 1990. It's a good gun, the gen 2 predecessor to the 6906

The 469 was a classic of its time, was one of the very first factory built "mini guns". Not only was it nice and portable, but it was accurate as well. In fact my 469 could shoot rings around my full size 1st and 2nd generation smith autos.
I would jump on that right now. Not only a classic but a darn good packing iron.

I have a 669 that I CCW and it has been flawless. Magazines are easy to come by and inexpensive.
