What 18DAI said. I have had 2 of the 6906 series. My first one I bought from a friend, he said it had ejection problems. It was a first gen. with hooked trigger guard. A smith checked it for me, said they were known to have weak extractor springs on occasion. When I got it back it was 100% reliable until a year or so + 1,000 rounds, when it went down with a broken trigger draw bar. I was suspicious of the metalurgy after that and sold it after repairs were made.
I now have a 3rd gen. 6906, a police trade in, which has been 100% with all ammo I have stuffed into it. It has not demonstrated any of the extraction problems, etc., that I experienced with the first one. I like the little gun, and carry it everywhere that it is legal to do so.
Accuracy is great with it, is light in weight, and conceals reasonably well under a shirt tail if one is careful.
The trend seems to be toward lighter polymer framed pistols, but with a good 6906 one can still do good work. You should still be able to find Nite Sights for it from the major suppliers. Regards, SR78
