Default Turning on the Bodyguard 380 laser.

I received my replacement buttons today, not bad, considering S&W just sent them Monday. I have found that if I press and pull back on the laser button the laser is a lot easier to turn on. New frame, new button, I'm happy.

What was wrong with them from the start?
I had a problem turning the laser on from the right side of the gun.

The gun had been returned due to the take down lever coming out. They returned it with a new frame. When I took it out for a test drive the right side button fell out but the take down lever stayed in place.

If you take the button off the gun you will see the nipple on the back side of the button does not push against the laser button. I turned the position of the button around until the nipple on the back side hits the hump on the laser button located in the frame.
