What's your favorite Smith 9mm.........?
Here's mine!
Model 76 replete with SG9 suppressor.
I know, its not really a pistol, but it does have a pistol grip. And its not really a semi-auto, but you can set the selector on semi. Anyway, just curious about others' favorite 9's.
I don't own it anymore but sure enjoyed it while I did. Man that thing sounded like a sewing machine when it was running, smooth!!

It would be a toss for me, between two models.
The 3913 is probably my all time favorite. Light weight, perfect dimensions, reliable and accurate. Whats not to like?
Then I shoot my 3906. Heavier than the 3913.....but not too much, for me. Accurate and reliable and.......just feels right. Points like a model 19 and flat like a 1911.
I probably still prefer the 3913 over the 3906......but not by much. Regards 18DAI.

Model 39. Showing my age I know. I have a M&P in 9mm. Shoots well but not as good as my Glock 3.

3913 for me. One of the best firearms I've ever owned. Accurate, compact and 100% reliable 100% of the time.

I love my 5906 with Crimson Trace Lasergrips. For a person like myself, with no great shooting ability, this gun performs for me. With the Lasergrips, it feels like it was custom molded to my hand. I can shoot 2-3" groups at 10 yards, even without the lasergrips--and that is saying alot for me. The lasergrips I think make it a superb nightstand handgun--accurate & dependable.

It would have to be my Model 39. It is a great shooting gun with a nearly perfect grip.

I'm just the opposite, 3913 comes first, then the 6906.
Third place, I hate to admit, is a Taurus PT99AF. I used it years ago to qualify for my CCDW license.

M&P fs for the range
Toss up - CS9, 3913NL or 6906 for carry

3913, regular or NL - best carry pistol ever made. Small enough to hide, big enough to shoot well, totally reliable so far (since 1994 and many thousands of rounds). Between my 'significant other' and myself, we have four...

For me it's the 6906. I love the size and the 13 round capacity. It's my favorite CCW.
I STILL want a 3913, though...

literally just picked up a 3913TSW yesterday! I can't wait to get out to the range with this little beauty. I hope it's every bit as good as everybody says. The only 9mm I've owned up to this point was a sigma9VE

S&W model 669! Nothing against the third gen pistols as I love them too, it's just that the 669 fits my idea of what a 9mm should be!

I would have to go with the model 39 also. My socond choice is the stainless steel Kahr. Both are very reliable and accurate.

That would have to be my only 9, a Model 639. Took a bit of doing to get it sorted out, but its coming along nicely:
50 rounds rapid fire.

6904 or 3953 depending on what season it is. 6904 during the cooler/cold months where I can carry under a jacket or coat. 3953 during the warm/hot months when I can carry it under a T-Shirt. Right now it's the 3953 or 4053. Love the fact that there is no safety/decocker to get snagged on.

I'll like any S&W 9mm that is accurate and has a good trigger. The slim 3913, or a good 5906, would be my choice - but I still want to try out some of the ones I haven't shot yet.

Mine would be the model 59. I own 3, one safe queen and 2 for SD. I also had a pre 39 and a 39-2 that would be my next choices.

I realize to my surprise that I now have four S&W 9mms, all DAO. Well, if you consider the Sigma to be DAO, that is. The other three are a 5946, a 6944 and a 3953.
When I'm not shooting, the 6944 actually feels better in my hand than the 3953, but when I'm shooting, the 3953 feels better.
The 3953 is, for me, the bomb-diggity S&W 9mm: light, flat, handy, accurate, reliable.

I have to agree -M39 is the best, and the older ones seem to be even better than the late production examples.
I had a late 60's/early 70's 39-2 that was my first one, and it was a sweet pistol. Somehow I let it go and regretted it until I bought an older M39 no-dash to fill the void in the mid 70s. The gun is still with me, and it's still the most accurate 9mm S&W i've owned or handled.
I just added a NIB late model 39-2 A694xxx that now has only about 200 rounds through it, but it may become a close second to older brother.
I use a 5906 for range work and competitive situations, but the M39 still feels better when I pick it up.

I've always been partial to the 39 series having carried the 39 and 639 as duty guns. Now, it's a 3913.

Which ever one I have in my hand at the moment. But, I do love my 3913; it's more accurate than I am.

I must agree with you on this.
Here is my "Lady Smith", the 3953 model w/ custom 3 dot night vision sights.
I love it, and it's everything you claim; "accurate - dependable - concealable".
I have smaller hands for a guy, & this pistol fits them perfectly. I like the front strap checkering, as well as the front (outer) trigger guard checkering. The S&W grips provide back strap checkering, but may change them out for laser sight grips instead (still debating). The "no snag" element is great as well, and I like the fact that it has no safety mechanism in place.
My Lady Smith is definitely my favorite S&W 9mm by far when all is considered.

For me it would have to the model 39. Great gun to shoot and the grip is the best of any autoloader I've ever held. 3913 and 6906 would be next in line.
