Default 3rd Generation Stippled Grips

Week or so ago, someone posted a photo of a couple of 3rd gen semi-autos, one with factory grips that had been stippled, fairly aggressively.

Can anyone post this photo again or anyone else who has these type of grips?

Thanks in advance.

I believe that was BigDog. Do a search for BigDog grips.

Default Palmetto and Grinder

Can you share how this is done.....or do either of you offer this service? If so, what is the going rate?

Are both of you pleased with the texture after shooting them?
How do the carry against clothing, and snagging, etc?

Again, they look great and I like the deviation from the "run of the mill" grips! Great work.

PS. I recently learned that if the factory grips are "dinged" lightly, the damaged area can be gently scuffed up with the green or gray 3M polishing pads in a circular pattern and they disappear. Actually they remain, however the polishing pad dulls the damaged checkering and it blends right back into the matt finish. The only reason you could see the damage before using the pads is when the grip gets "dinged", that part becomes shiney. About 10-15 light circular moves should do the trick.

Yes, they are very comfortable. For competition I like the extra texture.

How do the carry against clothing, and snagging, etc?

They don't snag at all, not like rubber grips.

I have never done it, but I think its done with a soldering iron, your imagination, patience, and some brewskis.
