Model 745 ??
Hello all, I recently ran across a 745 and wondered if anyone here owns one and what your impressions are. The gun has seen light use and I would rate it at about 90%. I has the IPSC markings and Novak rear sights. I would also be interested in the market value of the gun. Thanks, John

Prices seem to vary a fare amount on the 745. One's in good to excellent shape can be seen for sale between $500 - $750. They have a pretty solid reputation for reliability, like most Smith's, and mixed accuracy reviews--which could possibly be attributed to shooter. I think the general consensus is that they are an underrated quality .45.

Bought one new back in the day. Excellent pistol. Gave it to my gaughter. Wish I hadn't.

745
I have owned 3 of the 745's. I sold one and then purchased a new one last week and a used one last week. They are fine guns. Never had any problems with them. The only thing I did not care for is the sights. I had the first one fitted with 3 dot sights and it was great. Getting the used one ready for the same process. I tried thru S & W to see if any of the newer sights would go in with out milling. They don't seem to want to answer.
