Default My new 1006. Pics inside.

Spent a while looking for a new condition 1006 with fixed sight. Finally got it and love shooting it. Replaced the recoil spring with a Wolff 22lb because the brass was flying 30 ft back. Check out the pics. This thing really is a tank.

Great buy, congrats! I got myself a Colt Delta Elite (original issue) awhile back and have been thinking about a 1006. Now you have gone and thrown some fuel on the fire....

Now you'll have to start to reload 10MM as ammo is sometimes hard to find and expensive when you do, but you will love it.

Default Nice grab!

Super find, there!

It's almost rare to find them with curved backstraps. Enjoy it! It'll be worth the wait!

To me, that's perhaps the most beautiful handgun ever made! Love 'em dearly!

I have owned three 1006's in times past, and wish to God I still had them! Notice how thick the dust shield is; the gun is a tank.

Thanks for all he nice comments, guys. And yes, I did start reloading 10mm already after paying out the a** for a few boxes of factory FMJs. If anyone has some good recipes using Titegroup please let me know. So far I cooked up two loading near the weak end for range use but according to Hodgdon, I can use 8gr with a 135 Nosler to get 1460 ft/sec. Anyone go that hot with Titegroup?

$700 including shipping and a a few small extras. I've seen these sell for less and I've seen them sell for more. However, based on the great condition, I made the seller a high offer to avoid haggling and make a quick deal.

Got a chance to shoot my reloads today. Best performer was 180 gr fmj over 5.2 gr of Titegroup. Not only was this loading super accurate, it was also very low recoiling. On the other side of the spectrum, the 135 gr nosler HPs over 8gr of Titegroup were quite hot, throwing the brass back about 20 ft. Still quite accurate though if you manage the recoil.

Default Vote 1006 as best looking pistol ever

After looking at those photos again after a long layoff, I have to vote for the 1006 as the best looking handgun ever...

(And my favorite...right up there with the 1086.)

Great camera work! You have magazine-level photo illustration talent!

Great buy! Welcome to the 10mm world. I have a 1086 and a Delta Elite. the 1006 is next on my list... just don't have the funds right now. I want to collect/accumulate all of the 3rd gen 10mm series eventually.
Enjoy it. They are tanks. I use my 1086 as my house defense gun... I feel feel safe with it loaded in the house as it's DAO but when it goes bang...the bad person will go down.

What a clean pistol--congrats! Everybody is right with the warnings about them multiplying. I like the round grips, now I want a set too

Great looking gun, I'm sure it handles like a beast.
I really should invest in some semi's.

I had one set up exactly the same - curved blackstrap, fixed sights. Shot the snot out of it and carried for years on the job.

Wish I had it back! Have to make due with my Delta.
