Default What 'spares' to order for my new-to-me Mod 41- pics of which now posted!

I'm the proud owner of an A-s/n model 41.

Overall, very nice condition, just some blue lost on some edges.

I'm planning to order some bits and pieces from S&W and as a Canadian customer, there's a flat $18 shipping fee, so I want to make it worthwhile.

So, what parts should I order, since I'm at it?

I'm thinking
recoil spring
firing pin spring
firing pin
...but am wondering about the extractor, which at $21 is a bit of a stretch if I don't really need it.

Comments from the forum would be appreciated!

...and maybe some pics would be appropriate.

I would go ahead and get the extractor. You may never need it but you never know.

+1 on the extractor... a very important part. Is that pistol wearing the new S&W external lock? Uglier than the old interior lock.

Does that trigger lock even work? Since the trigger guard drops for the first part of the take down procedure. As for your question, the extractor, extractor spring and recoil spring are always good to have.

Good luck and enjoy it,
Steve

hee hee hee... well the lock meets the letter of the law ....

thanks for all the parts suggestions...

how many people here would actually change out these parts (extractor, etc) on their own, and how many would have a 'smith do it?
