Default Racking aid for Model 41

Sometimes I have difficulty racking the slide due to arthritis. Does anyone know of any racking aid that can be attached to the slide to assist with a better grip? Thanks.

A man-servant.

I don't know of a racking aide, but in lieu of that, you could always leave it open. It has a slide stop when the gun is empty, I presume?

Racking shouldn't be very difficult at all unless you are cocking the hammer at the same time. Of course, with the quality of today's ammo, you'll be doing that a lot.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I'm starting to get arthritis, too, so I may be looking for something like this soon, too.

unlike a 1911 which has a rear sight that moves with the slide -where I have seen people put a racker in the rear sight dovetail- no such provision on the model 41- I might suggest replacing the firing pin rivet with an over long roll pin and then you could push the roll pin on the edge of a table or something to rack the slide?

You could use some "Mighty Putty" and attach a plastic tie wrap or similar piece of plastic strapping and make a loop coming off the rear of the slide from one side of the slide to another. I've used epoxy putty to build up a hump on a 1911 grip safety. Once it is in place it doesn't come off.
