Default Found a Rare one - 6944...(pic)...

... and it has working NS. I had always hoped to find a 5944, just because I though a 6944 would be pratically impossible, but here it is. Shown with my 6.5" open carry knife for scale. No box or docs, only one magazine, but it was only $289 + tax. I could not believe my good fortune. On the down side, it has been dropped, and there are some scars in a couple places, but I won't worry about that. I'm surprised the NS are working, they must have been added. The SN puts the gun to 1991 of course, which I think is the only year they were made. It fits nicely with my 5943, 5946, and 4553!!!

Nice pistol. That's only the second 6944 I've seen with a round trigger guard, the others' had the squared trigger guard. I had a 6946 and it was extremely accurate and smooth. I have the S&W 4044 and like it very much.
