Nice pistol, one of the best S$W made. A little difficult to take down the first time you try. Find a on-line manual here:

http://stevespages.com/pdf/s&w_rimfire_pistols.pdf

Accessories other than grips are non existant.

Discontinued a few years ago and parts are getting hard to find. There is a company that is selling new firing pins, you should get one while you can. I see them on Gun Broker. Resist dry firing this one

Default My 2206

Great .22 LR, I haven't had mine that long, but I can tell you it's a real tack driver.
Even with an inexpensive Red-Dot.
No problems to date, it digests everything I feed it.
Regards,
BM1

I believe this is the company selling the new firing pins:
Jack First Gunshop - First in Gun Parts - Rapid City, South Dakota

I shied away from 2206's when I found them because of the referenced article, but I have never heard a bad word about one on this forum.

Here's mine with an Aimtech scope mount, red dot and an ugly but functional grip over-mold. The 2206 is a lot more accurate than I am, and eats whatever I feed it.

I have a 422 and a 2213 an I use to have a 22A but sold it. I much prefer the older 422,2213,2206 style to the newer 22a plastic model.

I would like to add my thanks too for the manual suggestion. I've been looking for one ever since a gunsmith agonized over how to clean my 2206. I couldn't figure out how to take it apart and neither could the gunsmith. OK, maybe he wasn't much of a gunsmith, but not all gunsmiths see many 2206s either. Anyway, thanks. The manual is permanently on my desktop for when I need it again.
