Good afternoon gentlemen. I just picked up a 3953, local shop had it on sale for very good price, so decided to give it a go. I think there are several iterations of this firearm, just wondering if anyone can tell me the DOB and any particulars regarding it. This particular gun is in very good condition, does not appear to have been shot much. Serial # is VAN52XX. Thanks!

VAMxxxx are listed as made in 1994 so I would suspect your VAN would be that year or a little later.
