Glad it worked out for you. Here is a good site for others who may wish to work on their 41's. http://www.guntalk-online.com/Model4...ce.htm#toppage

That is what I started and finished with. I agree a great start. Add a lot of notes, sketches and homemade dummy pins.

Is there any trick to removing the pin that holds the trigger guard on? I have an oversized trigger guard I'd like to install but can't get the pin out.

Place tape over the pin area to protect it. I used a brass punch from right to left. Some pins are in pretty tight, so expect to wack it a couple of times. I use a nylon gunsmithing block as a backer, but you can use a block of wood with a hole in it to give the pin room to press out.

Good work MINI SSS! I have seen in other handgun forum's where owners have posted a list of the steps required for a total detail strip and reassembly. Some even make U Tube recordings. I have searched the internet high and low for a detailed strip and reassembly to no avail. I'm sure there are dozens of members who would appreciate an hour of your time to post a "how to" instruction for the Model 41. Thanks,Jim
