Default Model 52-2

Can anyone help with a value on a clean, never fired 52-2 in .38 special? I'm interested in one here locally but for the life of me, I have no real idea of its value nor does the potential seller. It's blued and has an absolute glass break, light trigger pull.

Thanks

Depends on condition, with or without box and papers and how many mags.
Also depends on where you live

Go back a few days on this forum and you'll see lots of posts by others (I am one of them as i was thinking of selling mine).

Also, look on Gunbroker or Auction Arms for comparables that actually have bids on them, not one with just an asking price.

Here are some numbers for a real WAG for what will actually sell (or you might have to pay), rather than wishfull thinking--My area;
Gun only, 80 to 90% condition @ 2 mags--$650 to $750
Gun only, 90 to 98%--$750-$800
Gun w box and papers less than 90% @ $750 to $850
Gun w box and papers over 90%--$850 to $950 and up
Gun, box, papers, extra mags, S&W barrel weight (like mine), $1000 to $1200

Go to the completed auctions on GB. A guy at my club just bought a 52 in the last few weeks on there. His is in excellent shape, it may shed some light on a fair price. Your right, the trigger was unbelievable on his! Breaks like glass at about 2-3lbs.
I did see one recently for $1100 for sale. {forget where}
