Default Front Sight Heights On A 1006 With Adjustable Sights

I picked up a set of Trijicon night sights for the 5906 to install on my 1006 (adjustable rear sight model), being I wanted to add night sights to it.

I emailed Trijicon about the front sight heights, and they said that the front sight in the 5906 kit (SA01) is 0.217 inch. I also found out that the front on the Novak style .45 and 10mm sights (SA14) is 0.246 inch. I don't know the height of the stock front sight (I can find a caliper and try measuring it, but how are they measured), being I've only seen it listed as "use with adjustable rear." The other stock heights given are 0.229 and 0.245 inch, with a 0.262 inch night sight.

First off, does anyone know the stock front sight height on this model? With that being said, would any difference between the one I have (SA01; 0.217 inch) be adjusted correctly with the rear?

I do want night sights for this gun, but if I will have issues with sighting, I'd likely pass on it and sell the Trijicon kit to someone that can use it. I might pick up another front sight, if the use of the 0.262 inch would work better (I think I can get it from Brownells or MidwayUSA). If the .40/.357 SIG conversion project does formulate, I definitely would be buying those... so I don't want to screw up the ability to adjust the sights lower, if need be.

Thanks in advance for any help.
